I know this entire soul of this blog is about embracing travel, but in the spirit of full disclosure (well, almost), being nomadic means my daydreams often involve a home, especially one with a fabulous kitchen.  Sometimes I even go into houses for sale, just to look around.  I found the above kitchen in Floyd, VA.   It is located in an old flour mill that I’d love to fix up and use to make lots of people breakfast…if only it were located somewhere other than Virginia.

So now, at a crossroads after two years of travel but with so much more to see, the question becomes- travel on or find a home?  Do I unpack the boxes of books at my parents’ house?  Do I keep my suitcase efficiently packed and go further?  Which is settling?  Which is more challenging?  Which is running away?

  1. Can’t wait to try the Beet & Carrot burger — hope you don’t mind but I posted it on our Eugene Friendly Farmers web site — check us out!

    • That’s fabulous! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did! I also tried it with flaxseed meal instead of breadcrumbs, but I wouldn’t recommend it! Can’t wait to make it back to Eugene! Keep farming!
